Plain terms for a simple app. Please read them: they explain what you can expect from us, what we expect from you, and what happens if something goes wrong.
1. Who we are and this agreement
Antly One is provided by Byte Cognetics Ltd. (“we”, “us”). These terms are an agreement between us and the person who signs up, and the business that person signs up for (“you”). By creating an account or using Antly One on the web, on a phone or through our website, you accept these terms.
The privacy policy, the payment terms (if you use payment links) and the acceptable use policy form part of these terms.
2. Who can use Antly One
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Antly One is for running a business. It is not for personal or household use.
- If you sign up for a business, you confirm that you own it or are allowed to act for it, and that it accepts these terms.
3. Your account and keeping it safe
You sign in with your phone number and a one-time code we send by SMS or WhatsApp, and you may set a PIN on each device. Keep your phone, codes and PIN to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account until you tell us it has been misused.
Tell us at once at support@antly.one if you lose your phone or think someone else has used your account. You can sign out of every device from the app.
4. Your business and your staff
The owner of a business decides who can use it and what each person can do. If you add staff, you are responsible for choosing what they may see and do, for what they do in Antly One, and for having a lawful basis to give us their details.
A business can have more than one owner. If the only owner deletes their account, the business closes and its staff lose access, as described in the privacy policy.
5. Your data
The records you put into Antly One (items, stock, sales, customers, jobs, photos, notes and money records) belong to your business. You give us permission to store, copy, process and display them only to run Antly One for you, to keep it secure, to provide support and to meet our legal obligations.
Where those records include personal data about your customers or staff, your business decides why and how that data is used, and we process it for you on your instructions. The privacy policy explains this, and you agree to follow data protection law, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, when you collect and use that data.
You can export your records and delete your account at any time.
6. Plans, fees and early access
Antly One is in early access. Plans will be priced in Naira and published on this website. We will tell you at least 30 days before any charge starts to apply to your business, and you can close your account before then without paying anything.
Once you are on a paid plan, fees are charged in advance for each billing period, are not refundable for a part period unless the law requires it, and include or are subject to VAT as the invoice shows. If a payment fails we may limit your business to reading and exporting its records until it is paid.
7. Payment links and online payments
If you collect money from your customers through Antly One (payment links, online orders or bookings), the payment terms also apply. They explain how money is collected, when we pay it to you and the fees.
8. Using Antly One properly
You must use Antly One lawfully and follow the acceptable use policy. In particular you must not use it to sell illegal goods, to defraud anyone, to send messages people have not agreed to receive, or to try to get into other businesses’ records.
9. The service, offline use and changes
We work to keep Antly One available and your records safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. The phone app keeps working offline for selling, stock and expenses, and sends what you recorded when it is back online. Records kept only on a phone that is lost before it syncs cannot be recovered.
We improve Antly One all the time and may change or remove features. If a change takes away something important you rely on, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can.
10. Other services we rely on
Antly One uses other companies for hosting, text and WhatsApp messages, payments and app distribution (Apple’s App Store and Google Play). Their terms may also apply when you use those parts, and we are not responsible for their services beyond what the law requires of us.
11. Your records, tax and advice
Antly One helps you keep records and see how your business is doing. It is not accounting, tax, legal or financial advice. You remain responsible for your business’s obligations, including keeping the records the law requires and filing tax returns. Check figures before relying on them for important decisions.
12. Suspending or closing an account
You can stop using Antly One and delete your account at any time from the app or at antly.one/delete-account.
We may suspend or close an account, or limit what it can do, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if we reasonably suspect fraud or illegal activity, if the law or a regulator requires it, or if continuing would put other users or us at risk. Unless the law or the risk prevents it, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to put things right and to export your records.
13. Our intellectual property
Antly One, its software, design and the Antly name and logo belong to Byte Cognetics Ltd., and we give you a personal, non-transferable right to use Antly One for your business while these terms apply. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or build a competing product from it, except where the law allows this.
14. What we do not promise
Apart from what these terms say and the rights the law gives you that cannot be excluded, including under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018, Antly One is provided “as is”. We do not promise that it will suit every purpose of your business or that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors.
15. Limits on our liability
We are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data that was not caused by our breach, or for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you accepted these terms.
Our total liability to you for all claims in any 12 months is limited to the greater of the fees your business paid us in those 12 months and ₦100,000. These limits do not apply to money we collected for you and have not paid out, to death or personal injury caused by our negligence, to fraud, or to anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
16. Claims about how you use Antly One
If someone makes a claim against us because of the goods or services your business sells, the data you put into Antly One without a lawful basis, or your breach of these terms, you will cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is important we will tell you in the app or by message at least 30 days before it applies. If you do not agree, you can close your account before then. The date at the top shows when the terms last changed.
18. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If you have a complaint, write to support@antly.one first; we will try to resolve it within 30 days.
If we cannot, the courts of Lagos State have jurisdiction. Nothing here takes away your right to complain to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission or the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
19. General
- If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- You may not transfer these terms without our agreement. We may transfer them to a company that takes over Antly One, and will tell you if we do.
- These terms, with the policies they refer to, are the whole agreement between us about Antly One.
